This is our Asbury United Methodist Team, called to serve God and love people.

We are happy to announce the appointment of our new Pastor!
Pastor Alison Dix.
“Alison grew up in Iowa on a farm south of Mount Vernon Iowa. She studied and graduated with a BA degree in English and Economics, from Loras College and went to work in the insurance field for 10 years. She started her own event planning and coordinating business and then began working as the Office manager for United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon 12 years ago. Last year she began her journey to become a local licensed pastor, attended Iowa Licensing school in May 2024 and is currently waiting for a placement. She is looking forward to working with a church as their servant leader / pastor. Alison has been married to Melissa, her wife for 19 years and lives in Mount Vernon. Over their lives together they have loved 2 cats and 2 dogs. They are aunts to 13 nieces and nephews and love being part of extended family on both sides.”
